KYC API: Upcoming changes to our Hong Kong connection 

Summary

We would like to inform you that we have scheduled the implementation of several enhancements to our Hong Kong connection, planned for release on December 9th 2025.

Additional source connection

Alongside enabling connectivity to the Hong Kong Inland Revenue Department Business Registration (BR – eTax), we will also update and enhance our existing connection to the Hong Kong Companies Registry (ICRIS).

With these upgrades, we will extend our Hong Kong coverage beyond incorporated companies to also include sole proprietorships and partnerships—legal forms not available through ICRIS—providing you with a more complete and reliable view of the Hong Kong business landscape and supporting stronger onboarding, risk assessment, and KYC decisions across all entity types.

KYC API v1 vs KYC API v2 dataset availability

To increase the stability of our Hong Kong connection and improve overall data-retrieval performance, the super dataset will no longer be available in KYC API v1.

Going forward, the Hong Kong super dataset will be supported exclusively through KYC API v2, which provides a more robust and scalable framework for delivering enhanced data fields and future upgrades.

Additional data

We are introducing new Hong Kong fields within the KYC API v2 super dataset. These fields have not existed previously for this jurisdiction and are not remapped in values.

Officers
